Terms and conditions

1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and the services provided by Log Books ("we", "us", "our"). By submitting an application or making a payment you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
2. What our service is
We provide a paid, independent service that collects your details, checks your application for errors and omissions, and submits your replacement V5C application to the DVLA on your behalf. We also provide customer support before and after submission, and issue a written confirmation of your order by email.
We do not issue log books. Replacement V5Cs are issued solely by the DVLA, which retains full discretion over the outcome of any application.
3. Fees
The prices shown at checkout include our service fee for checking and submitting your application. Current prices are:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Replacement V5C Log Book | £45.00 |
| Fast track processing | £10.00 |
Prices may change at any time. The price shown to you at the point of payment is the price that applies to your order.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must provide accurate, complete and up to date information.
- You must be the registered keeper shown on the V5C.
- You must have the vehicle in your possession and no details on the V5C may need to change.
- You must tell us promptly if any of your details change before your application has been submitted.
We are not responsible for a rejected, delayed or incorrect log book that results from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you.
5. Processing and timescales
We aim to check and submit applications within one working day of payment clearing, and within four working hours where fast track processing has been purchased. Timescales for the DVLA to issue a replacement log book are outside our control.
6. Payments
Payments are taken securely by card through our payment provider. We do not store your full card details. Your order is only processed once payment has been confirmed.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with your order is limited to the total amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, contracts or business opportunity.
9. Your data
We handle your personal information in line with our privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
